Any small holder farmer in Murang'a County and surrounding areas can join. We primarily work with avocado farmers, but also welcome those interested in farm forestry and sustainable agriculture. You don't need to own land—lease agreements are accepted. Minimum requirement is interest in learning and commitment to quality standards.
You can start selling immediately after joining, provided your produce meets our quality standards. For new members, we conduct an initial farm assessment and provide guidance on any improvements needed. Most members begin selling within their first harvest season after joining.
We welcome farmers with as few as 5 trees! Our Starter membership is designed for small-scale farmers. As you grow (with our support and affordable seedlings), you can upgrade tiers. Many of our most successful members started small and expanded over time using cooperative resources.
We guarantee payment within 14 days of delivery for local markets, and 21 days for export shipments. Payments are made directly to your mobile money or bank account. We provide detailed statements showing quantity delivered, grade, price per kg, and any deductions (membership fees are annual, not per sale).
No, membership is not exclusive. You can sell through Limalinda and other channels. However, most members choose to sell primarily through us because of better prices, guaranteed payment, and convenience. Premium tier members receive guaranteed offtake agreements for their production.
Starter members receive 2 free training sessions annually. Grower and Premium members enjoy unlimited training including: GAP certification, pest management, post-harvest handling, financial literacy, and leadership development. Field days and farm visits are included. We also provide free training materials and certificates.
